Air Con shower

Hi all
Help needed I had my air con on today when all of a sudden the middle 2 air vents started to spray out water all over me and the seats has any body got an ideas as my air con is still ice cold

Could be a leak in your heater matrix. Checked your water level?

Thats what i thought but when i turn my air con off it stops doing it!

Interesting...well check coolant anyhoo. Is the drain pipe actually attached throught the floor? There should be a rubber pipe in the passenger footwell behind the heater box which removes the moisture and dumps it onto the road via the engine bay. Try running the aircon on full whack recirc and see if the tell tale puddle appears. The pipe sometimes comes off which could (i suppose) lead to the fan blasting it through the vents instead. If its not that (and really scraping the barrell) could it be condensation????

Hi ya matey I agree with tinytdi on this one as he says theres a pipe that takes the defrosted ice away from the evaporator plate id guess its blocked or kinked.. p.s welcome feller dont forget to post your outcome when you get it...

I had a good look last night and when the air con is on it makes a gurgling sound and water does come out of the pipe switch it of and no noise. It has not done it again so i guess it must be condensation! Thanks for the help

Did the water smell nice? Did it stain your clothes and/or seats?
If it didn't smell and didn't stain I think it's safe to say it's just condensation that has gathered in the vents.
