Can anyone tell me what is the live and negative on the denso compressor one black wire one white also the two wires from the harness to feed it one green &white the other black I’ve connected it up black to black but no clutch engagement saying that there is a leak out of one of the inlet pipes to it new washers fitted so will have to look at that just wanted to make sure it’s wiring is right also I’ve empty of gas would that stop clutch engaging thanks for advice before I proceed

the pressure switch would stop the a/c pump from destroying its self if no refrigeration liquid ,assuming petrol

Just changed the washer not leaking now holding pressure but no cooling gas left & only 17% in car so thinking not enough to make clutch kick in any advice much appreciated will get more refrigerant couple of days and try fill it right up I’ve doesn’t work then must be wires wrong way round will check relay and fuses after filling but all switches are new

Gauge on my refill kit shows 25 to 40% is green and good

Cheers mine leaked so much overnight it’s only on the white section will refill then put on the proper gauge for a few while to make sure it’s holding pressure but still not sure I’ve that would stop the clutch on compressor from engaging I’ve not it must be my dodgy wiring but thanks for the info

No pressure = no clutch engagement.

Got pressure now no leaks but clutch still not engaging so am assuming put the wires wrong way round will check fuses and relays 1st

Or your trianry switch is duff. ;). Pressure switch at the drier.

12v to make the clutch kick in if it gets cold switch is next thing to bridge but isn’t easiest to get too.

Testing purposes only don’t leave it that way.

It’s got all new switches fitted it mabey the 2 wires that connect from the harness to compressor I’ve jumped the clutch before on the old one but don’t want to do that really I’ve got 1 green&white wire 1 black from harness going to it and from compressor 1 black&1white so I’ve connected black to black green &white to white I will try check what’s positive & negative tomorrow thanks for advice

Quick update nanocom reading no ac grant checked pressure gone down a bit overnight jumped the clutch filled again but but with aircon running can’t seem to get above 20/22 bar but when switched of pre saying on refill bottle gauge to high as said before new trianary switch and pressure switch already fitted mabey another trip to local Indy specialist

Have you checked the compressor clutch relay (if fitted).

It should not go above 21bar or the trinary switch will open.

Static pressure needs to be > 2.4 Bar (35 psi) to allow the compressor to engage. If it goes up to 21/20 Bar (305 psi) when you apply 12V to compressor clutch, then there could be too much gas in it ?

With engine off both gauges should show same static pressure. With engine running, when the compressor clutch is engaged, the Blue low side should drop, and the Red high side should rise. Post pictures, not just the readings.

That’s static pressure will leave them on and check for leaks again thanks

Wit’s engine running the clutch doesn’t engage is that ok for the test because when I did it to fill it was saying on the bottle trigger gauge it was low but now seems high
