Air Con Belt

Freelander Td4 2004 (post facelift)

My air con pump (or I suspect pulley) is getting noisy. It's not a convenient time to get it fixed, does anyone know if the belt is unique for the air con, or drives other things. Can I remove the belt (how?) and run the vehicle with no AC until a more conveniently time?

JUST CUT IT ORFT DAVE. . . .turn wheel un undo the three self tappers and you will see the two drive belt ,one is the auxillary un tother is aircon [make sure yer cut the correct one] and yes it is just fer a/c . . . .erm td4 only mind

Thanks, I had a feeling in the back of my mind we'd had a pump seize at work and snap the belt, and the vehicle remained perfectly usable.
