I know there is lots of info on here and believe me I've read most of it  I have recently aquired our P38 and even though I did my homework before purchasing sometimes no matter what precautions you take the mechanical gremlins bite you in the arse.
My pump is running quite noisy and seems to be on most of the time, after talking to David at Taw Park 4x4 I'm now waiting for a full overhaul kit including mounting bushes to arrive, has anyone else done this and is there anything to watch out for.
Also I really could do with a reccomended independant around the Gatwick area to get those all important stamps in the book.
Thanks
John

there's a reason why the pump is working overtime .... could be wise to fix that first ..... you can get pump kits on ebay for around 20 quid.

Airsprings leak ..... and they can be had for 60 quid on ebay brand new.
Valve block can leak too ..... plus all the plastic hose fittings.

I dont like the lowrider look anyway so I just bypassed everything ... 4 new airsprings with airlines straight to the front, no pump, no valve, no ride height sensors. Just blow them up with an air line ...... suits me. :)

had a kit like that fitted a while back ..... and it was worth its weight in gold, had a hard failure in norway with everything down on the bump stops ..... the kit got me home no worries ......

grew to like the way I could keep the high ride height all the time .....

lots of Tee pieces and stuff in that kit ... more places to leak, so just used the end piece (air valves) and took the lines straight to the springs ... Like I say, it suits me, hated the low rider look on the motorway ... :)
