Hi I removed my door panel today so I can remove the aftermarket remote that is installed on my p38 and keep it unlocked because as I know the aftermarket remote is the cause of the battery drain on my car, few told me when aftermarket remote is installed on p38 using the existing wiring and actuators the becm thinks that there’s someone that locks it from inside and it would keep the becm awake. Is there anyway else to use aftermarket remote with no battery drain ? Also would it drain if I remove the remote and make it unlocked 24/7 ?

Might help to find the product & model code on the remote box. Then search for the supplier's install guide & reverse the process.

After that, check & fix the door latches, and get the FOB working.
