Hi again - the freelander's aerial looks like it has snapped off and the screw in bit is jammed in the hole - i've had a poke to get it out but its stuck tight so i reckon it needs a new housing - does naybody know whatthe part is called? How much? And where from - i've looked on ebay - but just aerials come up - must be a prob folk have had before?

its just called an aerial base, is yours a standard radio or sat nav, non sat nav base would be cheap enough at dealer but i know lots of peeps on here may give you other places to try

It can be drilled to allow the repair of the standard aerial but it is a pain to do. I've done it after she reversed out of the garage with the door not fully up causing the aerial to be snapped in two.

You can just go and buy an aftermarket aerial as the OE version is £60 + Vat
