My 2001 Freelander 1.8 GS appears to have sprung a leak......
....can anyone help??

Several weeks ago I found that i was losing a small amount of coolant. This has manifested in small deposits left on the drive tarnished in colour by a very small oil leak, but seems to be mainly water.
There appears to be a little collection at the bottom of the engine bay but i am uncertain where it is coming from.
I have lost maybe 1/2 pint in the last three to four weeks.
There is no residue in the oil filler on on the dipstick indicating any contamination.

Cheers!!

it could be the water pump, it could be the inlet manifold gasket, it could be the head gasket, keep searching as a matter of haste, k series engines do not like being short of coolant!!!!!
