hi can any one give me adive on this i was wondering if i can put a 2.5 diesel engine from a land rover 90 on a b reg into a c reg range rover, will it fit onto my manual five speed gear box or will have to get a conversion plate for it. why i want to no is cos i have spent a lot of time and money trying to get the range rover running right and driving right, this is a list of what parts i have put on complete clutch another gear box & trans verse box new slave cilinder new master cilinder presure bled it and still its makeing this noise from the gear box, makeing it sand as if the presure plate is not holding the clutch on the nose is loud, if the revs stay low its not to bad drive a bit quicker and change a bit quicker the nose starts again . i wonder if it is cos im useing patton pats. hoo ever reads this and gives good advice thank you

my advice for what its worth is dont even consider it the 2.5 from the 90 whether its a turbo or normally aspirated is just not powerfull enough for the rangerover its just a no no from start to finnish :( :( :(

Hi Im not sure what engine the 90 has but I have 2 Range Rovers a 1989 vouge SE and a 1993 Vouge LSE that I have converted to the 300 Tdi and they are more than capable unless you want to do over 90 mph or 0-60 in 10seconds :p I now get 400 miles to the tank instead of about 280 and by the way they are both autos
