I have a uk 04 plaste disco. I went on a short journey and i had a problem when the disco got stuck in reverse. I called the AA and when he looked at it the problem had resolved itself and I was able to drive away. His only explanation was that in the time it had taken for him to arrive things had cooled down and sorted itself. Obviously I need to know what did cause it nad if anyone has any info or explanation please reply. Thanks.

Have you had problems selecting other gears? when was the oil in gearbox last changed or checked.

my advice is when this happens, only drive in reverse
