In the next effort in trying to solve my ABS issue (no errors or warning lights, but pulsing pedal). I'm looking at changing the ABS reluctor rings, as potentially a crack in one of them could cause this problem.

It seems the rings are available: https://4ucarparts.com/products/2x-abs-reluctor-ring-for-range-rover-p38-front-rear-left-or-right

Anyone done this or got a guide on what needs to come off and how to fit?

Some older threads on here say they aren't replaceable. Although that would make no sense if you can buy the rings on their own.

I think the ring might come pre-fitted on the front CV as an alternative option. What about the rear axle? I've had a look on a few sites and not seen anything listed with the reluctor ring.

Thars à good question as to whether or they are removable 🤔 I'll have a look at a spare drive shaft I have in my scrapper through the day. If one is cracked then it's is an apparent problem, if it is the problem is a good question.... 🤨

i bought one for mine, they are a press fit
sold it before i got to the job though. it only activated abs at slow speed if braking very gently
it was obvioulsy craked, i could see it when i spun the wheel with the abs sensor removed

The CV joints were so cheap, I replaced them rather than just trying to change the reluctor ring.

Thanks. I've not looked at the rear axle yet. Do you now how the reluctor ring attaches? Is there a pre-fitted part you can buy also?

I would guess it presses in, possibly with heat and possibly onto a keywayof some sort. As Datatek says, probably a lot easier and not that much more expensive for the whole part.
