My 2014 Range Rover V8 Diesel is lit up like a Christmas tree with yellow warning lights for abs, parking brake etc etc after the wife was only using it for short journeys and got a low battery warning. I am concerned the abs ecu is goosed now due to the battery issue has anyone else had this issue? I have one main fault that appears in most modules to do with abs and it’s for the NSR wheel speed sensor / invalid data.
I’ve done so far:
Full scan and clear down of codes with launch and another expensive scanner but can’t remember name and neither would clear the wheel speed fault. Live data shows no reading when driving yet other 3 are ok. Battery management charger used all the time while diagnostics on. Charged batteries and tried again no change. Swapped sensors on rear, carried out battery hard reset and re-scanned - still same faults. Now thinking check wiring / abs module plug and then send to the main stealer, anyone able to help I could do with out having to put this in to Landrover at the min having just been made redundant. Many Thanks

All I can say is.

Is it the original battery? if so a replacement would not go a miss.
The fault seems not to follow the sensor then, so check wiring/connectors.

But honestly the battery should be your first thing to check and if suspect change for new (bigger).
Our 2011 threw loads of messages/faults but a new battery fixed all of them:). but your sensor does sound like first check wiring/connector/continuity, before digging into ECUs.

Oh and welcome:)

Range Rovers don't like dodgy batteries. As marjon says if original could be time for a change

Welcome aboard:)

You could check the resistance at the both rear sensor plugs. Then you can compare the results. You should also get a resistance change when turning the relevent wheel. Jack just the back end up so you can turn the wheels easily.
Both sensors should have a very similar resistance.
Both sensors should flicker when the wheel is turned as it reads the abs ring.
If both react and measure the same then start tracing wiring looms backwards. This rules out the abs ring and each send.
If the sensors don't react the same way then swap each one over and do the same tests.
Some ecus will show an internal fault but not all.
Ecu testing could help by checking the module for you.
Not aflillinderated!
