Hello all,
I have a 2005 RR, 3.0 D, vogue since 2009, bought it with 58k miles and now on 210k. She has not been treated harshly, no major off-road , no towing, motorway miles mostly. After spending fortunes fixing, replacing, repairing (gearbox, alternator, power drain issue, wing mirrors, suspension, wiper motors front and rear, A/V system, shocks front and rear, steering column, electric seats driver and passenger, air compressor and a hundred other niggles I have forgotten about, here we go again with a new snag....A/V off.
I have trawled through the forums and done the '753' and am getting 'B100F25 companion video input failure'? Yes, I have read a lot of the possible causes but I am wondering if somewhere there is a step by step guide on video or text on how to do this myself. Now I know the power drain issue I once had was linked to the Info/entertainment system but back then I just flung money at some clown who raped me royally. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I know all of her nuances, noises, clicks, whines, purrs, knocks and screams for help, we have a full on love /hate relationship a bit like my wife but I wont abandon her either! Help me fellow RR martyrs.....
Jamie.

Yup 55 with MOST, thanks for that however I did find that thread earlier, lots of suggestions but no clear Video or text on a step by step guide to resolving the issue/s by a defined process....
cheers
J.

Hi Jamie,

I googled this and got the following result after reading posts from our cousins over the pond.

My '55 plate Supercharged displays "A/V off" if you turn the centre audio visual system off by pressing the main on/off button before turning the ignition off, on returning the key to the ignition switch "A/V off" appears to let you know that the entertainment audio / visual system is off. I know it sounds odd to display in one screen something you can see for yourself in another screen but I think there must have been two separate information technology groups working on the same function. Needless to say when you remove the ignition key without first turning off the audio / visual unit the message will not appear next time you put the key in.

Basically, there is nothing wrong but they thought you should have a bleep and message anyway. Hope this is a resolution for you also.

Tricky.

Hi Tricky and thanks,
No , the issue is A/V off and display 'greying out' every few seconds, I cannot set the time or listen to anything, a right pain in the whatsit and feeling more and more frustrated right now. The issue crops up across many forums with no clear path to resolution. At the moment she is in getting pulleys changed and another front shock along with yet again the drivers seat not working. It is a terrible thing when all I wish for is for some misfortunate to slam into me and write her off.....
thanks anyway,
J.

Did you ever find a solution to this one? I have the same issue on my newly purchased 2006 tdv8. Any help would be really appreciated

Sorted. I unplugged the Nokia Bluetooth module power and MOST, then joined the fibre optics in the same plug. Gaffer taped them together for now, not pretty but effective. Didn’t work at first so unplugged every fuse with the headphones symbol on front and rear then the unit reset. All working perfectly but the phone button on the head unit just says ‘No Phone Connected’. Will see how long the gaffer tape solution lasts and might need a better fix. Thanks for the help so far and hope this is useful for anyone else with a dodgy Bluetooth module.

Good morning and thanks for the update. There is a fibre optic loop connector you can by if you don’t replace the Bluetooth module just to make it more permanent. Check on the bay.
Cheers Tricky

Thanks Tricky, it lasted an hour this morning then back to flashing radio fault. Will check the connection again but thanks for the tip on the loop connector. Hopefully that’s all it needs until I can afford the LR4 Bluetooth upgrade
