I changed the clutch slave cylinder a couple of weeks ago (thanks to all who advised me on here) and its been good as new sience. I did'nt change the flexi pipe at the same time as they had'nt any in stock. When I looked under the bonnet this morning I noticed that where the flexi pipe joins to the copper (or what ever it is ) pipe there is a slight leak, its only a little weep really . When I got someone to press the clutch as I watched it still did not seem any worse. I was careful not to cross thread it when I rejoined the two pipes but I dare not tighten them up any more. Could I use that tape that plumbers use to seal this ? (the stuff that goes on the thread before its tightened up) or is it not worth trying and either replace one or both pipes or ignore it complety.
I'm not saying that there not cross threaded just that I was careful trying not to do that at the time.;)

has the fluid level dropped in the reservoir on the master cylinder

I filled it to the brim two weeks ago and now it is 10 or 12 mm below that so not so much that it makes any difference.

Thats what I thought, just thought it might be worth trying with plumbers tape first as it would be both easier and cheaper.
