Had my local trailer man knock this up
Tidy what?

Just wondering what sort of price you paid for that, for others that might like to do the same thing?

£50
6mm plate welded on to the original alloy frame slightly longer to fix to sub frame
If it saves my exhaust from getting clattered again(broke exhaust manifold at the pre-cat joint)
Money well spent.
Just need a similar idea for rear to cover the gas tank (lpg)

Very nice job done. Thumbs up.

How is the noise in the car now? On the Belgium Freelander Forum someone had done this but he had to place rubber rings and something else to keep it from making extra noise because this doesn't absorb the engine noise.

Looking forward to the idea on the back. :)

I no longer have a sump guard on my TD4 and there's no additional road noise.

The rubber rings were to prevent it from making a rattling noise of the plate. Further the guy says that the plate reflects the noise of the engine more and doesn't absorb the noise of the engine as good as the original.
However looks good.

Btw he used a 4mm aluminum plate.
