A Quick Question About Turbo Upgrades

I know I'm a fly-by-night kinda member, and I do apologise, but a friend of mine has a 300TDi which has a dead turbo, and he was wondering if a bigger/better turbo could be fitted, and if so, what turbo's would be suitable?
