A little lift for the Freelander

Hi all
I am looking into ways to lift the Freelander. So far I have noticed that you can lift with strut spacers (2'') or spring lift (1.5'').

My question is can it be lifted with both the above and a bigger sized tire?
I have 16'' wheels with a profile of 215/65/16. Can this be made bigger without ruining the car (215/70 or bigger) as well as the above lifts??

I was really hoping for a serious answer, just out of curiosity if anything else. The puddles around here are too deep for the Freelander. Thinking about a snorkel also.

Had a few bits of these fella's, always seem ok.
Don't know about the tyre idea though

Sorted out the problem with the doors fallin off. Superglued the tw*ts shut and go in through the sun roof.

Sorry fellas main question was if I could use the springs (1.5'' lift) and the strut lifts (2'' Lift).

I am not going to be buying tyres yet as just purchased four new over the last three months.

you will probably fook the drivetrain with strut lift and suspension but you can go up to 215/80/15 or 25/80/16 with either with no probs

Tis true, this kind of lift is gonna seriously push the hub centres out of line with the driveshaft outputs from the diffs. Add that to a good bit of un even ground and the CVs could over-reach......!!

Driveshaft then breaks apart and goes out of aligment, wrapping itself round the suspension and locking that wheel.

Oh, that sounds like not a good experience....

Remember that the alternator is fairly low on the TD4, I dont think they were considered for serious wading. Who needs to get their arse wet for fun anyway
