A few weird and wonderful questions!

Im new to this forum and although I aint a landy owner I love them! . Just a few quesitons really, hoping to get some expert knowledge or opinions in general. I managed to get a spot on the Mongol Rally 2008 (The Mongol Rally 2007 :: Welcome). The rally is about all about getting from London to Mongolia in a 1 litre car. Me and my buddy have got a Suzuki Swift 1lte ready and we are thinking we need to do some modifications. At the moment we are thinking 2 of the 8" Wipac lights for the bumber and then 4 x square wipac lights for the roof as we are going to be doing alot of night driving. Now im not sure how the wiring of these should go. Im reading alot about battery isolators and relays but aint sure! I realise this is going to put huge strain on the battery so may need another? (sort of like the guys who have winches?)

So if someone could give their opionion on the best way to hook these lights up that would be great?Also any good suppliers which I may not have been able to find?

Also thinking a snorkel, but going to have to mod for the suzuki, can anyone advise on this??

the lights should be wired in pairs with a switched relay for each pair. You could fit an alternator with a bigger output. and an higher rated battery. The formula for working out the current draw is watts/volts so 100watt / 12 volts = 8.3amps x 6 = 49.8amps so your alternator needs to provide 50AH (amps per hour) plus enough to supply the rest of the electrical items in the car. 65AH should be plenty.

He asked how to do it he din't say owt about it having to be achievable. Ah suppose he could have less lights. AH mean he wunt be going that fast will he. so he dunt really need all those lights does he.

the main reason for the lights is due to the night driving im going to be doing

Yeh but unless ur going to be flying along at high speed 1 pair of 100w spots plus normal headlamps shud be more than enough.
