A/C or no A/C ??

Hi all,
So I bought my defender (08 tdci puma) a while back and haven’t ever tried the A/C until today.
I pressed the button and nothing happened no green light and no cool air. I removed the switch to find no wires going to the switch. So now I’m wondering if it even has A/C and would like to know how I can tell. What do I need to look for under the hood? Thanks

Stick a pic of the engine bay up.
Count how many radiators it has.

I may be wrong as it is a lot newer than ones I have worked on but is the external front not different on an A/C model to accommodate the extra radiator, rather than sitting flush the grill is stepped out, like the below

Easiest way to tell if it has A/C is to look behind the front grille. The A/C condenser with its electric fan sits directly behind the grille. Behind that is the intercooler, then the engine cooling radiator.
