I have a 95' Jeep Grand Cherokee AWD. My Battery died a few weeks ago so I
went out and bought a new one, installed it and everything was running
fine. Then a few days later my jeep died and when i went to start it was
making a clicking but would click over. So i jumped it and now my battery
wont hold a charge for more then a day. I have to jump it in the morning
and by the next morning nothing is working not even the horn or interior
lights. What could be killing the battery so quick? I would appreciate any
help at all. Thanks, Tim

When it's running, check the voltage at the battery. If it's not in the say
14.5V or better range, then it's not being charged. And that is most likely
caused by anything from a loose/corroded connection between the
alternator/battery to a failed regulator/alternator. I suggest first check
if you're getting the14.5V.

I would clean all the battery cables because the symptoms indicate a
dead connection. Don't forget the cables have 2 ends...

Then I would get the alternator checked, either from a shop or with a
multimeter.

I also have a 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and I had alternator problems that
caused the symptome you decribed. Changing the alternator fixed the
problem, and it's been fine for 2 years now.
