hey was hoping someone could help me with this problem..
94 range rover 3.9 v8 with the 14cux fuel injection setup.
starts and runs perfect when cold, once it gets warm it starts to run a little rough ,as the engine gets hotter it runs worse and stalls and cannot be started again until i lift the hood and let it cool for about 5mins..
no fault codes present.
i've fitted a new module, dist pickup but no difference.
i've checked the coil -its fine
fuel pressure is good..
tested spark - also fine
tested air flow sensor and swapped from another vehicle -no change
what ive found is that when it wont start it has no pulse to the injectors.
so i checked the injector relay -im losing the trigger signal to the relay which i think comes from the ECM under the passenger seat.
keeping in mind i DONT lose this signal to the injector relay when the engine starts to run rough.
so im guessing the ECM is sensing a problem when it starts to run rough and shutting of the injector relay?
i was going to test the coolant temp sensor next
does anyone have any other ideas or tips?
any help would be appriciated!
