Ive had my 90 for about 3 years now but am not using it as much as I thought. I also thought i would be more hands on to sort everything on it but have found i just dont have the time.
Someone local has said he is looking for a defender 90 so could anyone steer me to a fair price? Im dreadful at undercharging when I sell stuff and I definitely dont want to do that with my defender as Im not 100% I want to sell.
Its a 1993 with a 300tdi in it. Starts first time every time and runs fine.
Miles says 52k so i am assuming thats from the engine change.
Chassis has been weld repaired and then stone chipped. Rear end has been replaced by the previous owner by a non standard part. Ive been told by my indy landy garage its not a problem though.
Paint is flaking off in places on the bonnet and doors. Paint work on the top has gone a bit wierd. Basically the whole landy could do with a respray if someone wanted it to look decent.
Driver door is rusting on the inside and door seals need replacing. (I have them i just havent done the job)
Small oil leak from rear of engine.
Steering wheel needs straightening (ive had tracking done thats all fine)
Two new tyres on front. Rears are fine.
Front washers don't work, been told it needs a microswitch replaced (I think he said microswitch)
Rear windows don't open. Looks like the seals have gone a bit manky.
I've got service history for the times its been in the garage when ive had it but nothing from before that.

I was thinking in the region of 5500 to 6000 ? I'm in the Isle of man and there's always a slight premium on cars here compared to the uk where there is alot more choice for the buyer.

Oh Ive thought of others issues.
The front seats rails need replacing as the seats don't clip in properly and the upholstery is way past its best.

Just remember you can always come down in price.
Is it a genuine 300tdi defender or a retrofit?

Looks to be a fair price based on what you describe and what can be seen in the pictures. However, all Landys have hidden surprises and you should expect a knowledgeable buyer to find a few of these and knock you down a bit!
