I am lusting after a soft top for my v8 90, no roof on it currently - and want a nice black full hood etc - want to combine with a roll cage - I have enquired about a full int/ext roll cage with top to fit but almost fainted at the prices from P++ and all wheel trim etc (£2400!!!). I know these are quality - but am considering other options, later addition of cage over soft top, internal cage later after purchase of soft top (takes up room??) - OR should I just bite the bullet??? They do look the dogs! (Not the SVX the regular internal external) but so expensive - what do you reckon?? Is it worth the cost??? Are there other options?? Want a cage as planning to go off road with family etc and without anything a roll could be dangerous - but cage could be done at a later date????

Your planning on off roading with your family in it? If so why go anywhere near slopes/side slopes... Stick to the flat and driving through mud... Much safer and less likely to end in a roll...

Well, not just with the family, would like one for more serious stuff if i am on my own etc - but if I am honest I just plain want one, but i am thinking more and more about a simple soft top when I think of the price. Do you have / own a soft top??

I think Pressbrake's idea is best. I currently have a soft top 90 with a military roll bar and want to make that safer. I'm trying to decide between a 6 point internal cage or external truckcab cage and a new canvas.

The reason being that I only have one other person in the vehicle off road (only 2 proper seats) and I regularly find that I bend the rear hood stick on trees etc.
