I noticed recently that I have had a small pool of diesel next to the drivers door, the top of the right hand side lip at the front where the 2 halfs meet is soaked in diesel.

I am not going to have time to look at it until Saturday but has anyone seen this this before, can it be fixed with some chemical metal.

Also the tank is not that old say only 4 years max, and its in good condition, was undersealed etc...

Got back from work tonight and decided to do some landy work, so I had a look at the tank, I had a thought and figured it might be the plate that the stand pipe bolts into, it was a little damp, but didn't look that bad, however I think it might be sloshing up, and enough is escaping to let is drip down.

So I have tightened the plate up, took it to the garage and filled the tank.

I then drove back and had a look around the pipe, it was dry, now that was with it more or less submerged and sloshed in diesel for a mile, so fingers crossed there are no diesel spills on my neighbours car bay tomorrow morning.

If so, then I only have to get the ATF fluid off his slabs that ****ed everywhere when I took the gearbox filler nut off...

Ok, no apparent leak this morning, the tank is full, so I expect that it is not a seam leak, thankfully.

Touch wood when I get out of work today, there will not be any drips...
