I have a 90 GMC S15 4x4 4.3l 6 cyl. I just had the pre-winter
alignment and snow tires put on and while I was at it I had the shocks
changed. The shocks had 200,000km on then and they were rancho
5000's, the ride felt like the shocks were getting worn.

The shop put cheap shocks on this time and my god the truck is going
to break apart the ride is so rough, literally every sewer grate or
bump in the road ina big hard bang when I drive and on washboard type
roads I can't drive....maybe at 20km/hr max but that's it.

My question is since I am removing and throwing out these crap shocks
asap, what would be the best to put in there and could anything else
be causing the problem I described?

I am tempted to go back to new ranchos.

thanks

Could have had the old 5000s replaced under warranty:
