Just like everyone else on this post I've got the leaks.
It seems like Sicaflex is the favourite for replacement, but how do you clean the old perrished sealer off? What do you use?
I have to do the gutters and the top of the windscreen.
It's possible that I have cracks in the gutters, but they're not visible due to excess weight on the roof bars, this could be a source of ingres not mentioned before.

I'm a big fan of Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure.
I've had great success around the windows and on the roof/gutters

We bought a new Defender 90 TD5 back in 2006.

Some months later l was in the dealers buying a dog guard. The salesman asked me "how is the Defender"
"lt's great" l replied. "No water leaks at all" (he'd warned me to expect the occasional water leak)
"No leaks at all?"
"None" l said
"It's faulty" he replied

For cleaning out the gutters I used lots of laborious elbow grease with various scrapers and picks. Then Covered the whole lot with tiger seal.

Me too. I also picked out all the sealant on the roof joints and resealed them with tiger seal. S**t job
Looks like I've got a good job coming.
What is tiger seal, I've not come across that, bear in mind we are in deep central Portugal!
I've just had a poke around the top of the windscreen and it's not good. So that's going to have to be on a priority basis, I was going to try Sikaflex as mentioned in previous posts.
Thanks for the replies.

LINK Tiger seal come sin white, is probably the same as sikaflex just a different brand. It is a polyurethane adhesive sealant and most importantly comes in white (as well as black)!
