90 2.5td

hi can any body help i have a 90 2.5td i ran it up the motorway when it stopped reving i have had the pump looked at and tested i fitted it and when i reved it up it carryed on reving up i pulled the keys out is this timing or as any body come across this before thanks for your help andy

yes its happened before with diesel engines. you are running the engine on the lube oil. search this forum for the solution.
