am i bluddy nutty or what??? (answers on postcard)
just planning my route to go view some landies and its 830 miles total ish between them all.
starting wakefield, derbyshire, cheshire, shropshire, Carmarthenshire, somerset, devon and finally dorset.

this is going to be a logistical nightmare to sort out viewing with everyone to co inside with transport/driving plans. any suggestions, other than buying first one i see..........

or maybe i could just get them all to come meet me in birmingham lol

Forget it save the fuel money. Gain some patience and one will show up close to home.
Find your local Land Rover club and put the word out.

well after trying to negotiate with the sellers there was only 1 that was willing to be flexible, so bollox to it.. have narrowed it down to a couple which is within a days travel.
i been scrolling the internet, ebay, clubs, 4x4 websites etc etc etc and as off yet nothing... will keep looking...
nrg - the one i pulled to bits had to be sold as the council wouldnt allow me to keep it in bits (they had a complaint) - made more in bits than i paid for it, so it wasnt that bad.

yeah some nasty b.......rds about, car and classic on bookmarks,
saw a programe about bobs merc been resored in usa too.....
i shall keep trawling..... onwards and upwards,, not spent any of the money i got put aside for one either (miricle for me)....

i'd be worried by whats behind that plate.

A couple of big holes and some glue and filler I'd bet, unless he's actually welded it on of course, although doesnt look like it going by them photos :p

Looks good apart from the stupid exhaust and the missing vent flaps, rest looks pretty tidy :)

thanks guys
the chassis is immaculate
bulkhead does need some work but ok at present (dont want to get into another strip down but maybe get some welding done, it looks quiet tidy behind the vent (think it was done for off roading purposes).
the pipe lifts off to enable entry to the engine bay.
searching for someone to fit a stainless exhaust system near me (again this was done for off roading)
will have loads of ????? as i go along so stay tuned lol

ok - found a series 2 1970 200 tdi just up the road from me and guess what I BOUGHT IT its not the best looking thing i have seen and does need a little cosmetics attending to, 12 month mot, chassis and drive gear etc are in excellent condition
pictures to follow but was on ebay (and i didnt pay what he was advertised at)
