Have a '70 Ford bronco with 2 1/2" lift on suspension and 4" on body. Develops
a bad shimmy whenever going down pavement and seems to start whenever I go over
a bump. I mean she gets scary. Changed right side tie rod end, all other ends
seem tight. Seems to be no other play in steering linkage at all. At loss as to
go where next. Any suggestions?

You are describing the 'death wobble'.

Did you get it aligned after the lift?

Do you have a steering stabilizer? If so, it is likely worn out.

Likely a case of "death wobble", usually caused by too little caster angle. Have the alignment check and see what the caster
angle is compared to stock. I had a similar problem on my 4Runner and ended up putting in about 1 degree of additional front
caster angle and it was cured.
