I have a problem with my single seat in the back. When you release the latch, nothing happens, no click no red pin, nothing. It's just stuck in it up right position. I think the cable/mech has snapped inside the seat, but at the minute it's no great fuss.

Hi I'm also new to here and only had my freelander for 3 months, Last night I put the seats forward and now I've got the exact same problem as you, they just seem to get stuck half way up. Can you please let me know if you've fixed yours and how! thanks in advance.

this happened o me the other day. just put the back rest down and lift the seat where there is a yellow lever just push it down and it will pop up again then make sure you push the seat hard to the floor and the back should lift up ok

Hi Thanks for the advice but unfortunately it hasn't worked. The base of the seat goes back down fully but the back won't go back up past about 45 degrees. It feels like something stuck somewhere but cant see anything.

Just come here looking for an answer to the same problem, but it doesn't seem as if there is any solution? There are two latches on the 60 split - the one adjacent to the 40 split seems to move freely but I can't seem to get it to lock, and the one around the middle of the 60 split which seems much more robust hardly seems to move, although I can't really see how that would latch anyway.......

I maty strip the cover off the central latch tomorrow - its gone dark now ;)
