5th gear “resistance”

I’ve noticed today that in 5th gear at higher speed (55/60) and when I take my foot off the accelerator, it feels like I have more “resistance” (for want of a better word).

I can feel it through the accelerator pedal and generally in the cabin.

Is this something obvious (that I’m struggling to describe and search for ) ?

Engine braking maybe? You don’t have a Jake brake fitted by any chance.

Daily or a toy? if toy check the brakes are not getting warm, had it once where m/cyl started to seize and eventually all four brakes stuck on.

A dragging brake would be my guess.
Has someone over adjusted the handbrake?
