4X4 problem

Hi, Have a 1994 GMC Jimmy and the 4x4 system won't allow it to go into
4x4 Hi, it will go into 4x4 Lo with no problem. I was reading and asked a
local dealer about it and most from what I hear, it tends to be the TCCM or
the Encoder motor. Are these two things easy to get at and check? Any info
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance................

Paul does your Jimmy 4X4 have electric or manual activation? My 96 does
basically the same thing (it's electrical), but mine does not come out of
4X4 without switching back and forth between Lo and Hi and 2 Wheel drive
several times. I'll be watching your post to try and get answers too. Good
