I’m in the process of rebuilding an ‘03 Discovery that has a cracked block. I hear great things about Turner engines and wanted to ask for any feedback from members. I’m located in the US so cost of shipping isn’t cheap. Hear their engines are worth it though.

Also, Turner is currently out of rebuildable 4.6L short blocks. Anyone have a source for a salvage petrol block without the accessories? I have a daughter and son in law in London who could facilitate delivery to Turner if they are highly recommended.

Thanks for the long distance help!

We had a top hat engine sent from the UK came from V8tuner but he dosent seem to do them now:(, shame cos its still going:)
There are others you could try V8 developments springs to mind as they were another when we were looking.
We never supplied the core back as it would have cost as much as the surcharge so worth looking at others, But only get a "top hat liner " block.

Good luck and Welcome:)

Just a thought, but could you source another disco from a junkyard, pull the engine, find yourself a good builder and have them machine the deck to accept the top hat liners. You can check out http://www.jandjautowrecking.com/ and look though their inventory for a full vehicle or an engine - if they don't have one, they will know where to find one and have it shipped out to you. Should your donor engine be in good health, you can run it as is and upgrade the cooling with one of those uprated radiators from Allisport.
