hi ive just brought a se which has had a core plug pop out. so it need replacing. ive located it and it semmc to be the one on the passengers side and its just slightly covered by the engine mount. has anyone done one before and have any advice on doing it. i no how to fit a core plug but is there anything to look out for etc.

also i have a couple of faults reading.

- bonnet open - will read when its close.? ive found that under the bonnet ther is a large flat cabble that isnt connected in the engine bay coming from the bonnet.

- gearbox fault has flashed up a couple of times checked the fluid level andits lol would that be why its flashing up with the fault?

- one on the windows i think the LH one has a problem and it says the windows are not set?

- found a couple of other wires that seem to be broken of/ not connected one is a small thin one that runs off the positive on the battery. may be causeing a problem?

Any help would be very helpful thanks :D

just read that a flat battery can casue the gearbox reading. ive been using a practilly dead battery so i can just the car from another so it mite be y its kicking out this fault along with a couple of others :) cant beat forums for finding info!

If the battery has been off - then the windows and sunroof will need re-setting - just open them fully then close them fully, should then show as set on the dash.

There is a bonnet switch to the off side of the slam panel - check that out
