4.0 exhaust

looking for sum help tried the search section but carnt find anything on it. i have a 4.0 v8 discovery and am after a center box removal pipe if you can get 1

i have yet to find anyone that makes one for the V8

you will have to have one custom made, or do it yourself

btw it will be very loud

cheers mate tried ma local landy place cheviot 4x4 and they cudnt find me 1 looks like its a trip ma pals work shop. how loud is loud like a chavy saxo with big bore on it cz a dont want that just want a nice barble

You want a custom stainless steel pipe with 2 silencers on.
I have only a small one on my a4 2.8quattro and its 77db at idle
92db at 4000 and 95.2 at 5000 all measured 1metre from pipe

nice and loud but drones at low rpm.

i put a cherry bomb in replace of the centre box and had no rear box and it was deafening!, and thats with the cats on aswell

i think a sports centre box and removal of the rear silencer will be the best bet

funnily enough it sounded beast at ver low revvs but it wasnt a big enough bore so sounded like a tractor over 2000 revs

i swapped it over for a new standard system but im taking the rear box off this weekend for a side exit

td5 alive do a 4.0 v8 exhaust, would be worth asking if he can supply the bit in the middle

There was a guy selling them new on eBlag @ £45 + P+P, cant find him now though.

I have a new center box replacement pipe for D2 V8 from Rimmers sitting in my shed if anyones interested.

I purchased it to replace a rotten center box but then found the rest was also rotten so purchased a complete SS system from TD5 alive.

They quote JP Exhausts of Chester as the supplier, might be worth contacting them as well. Their website (JP) wasn't working this morning.
