All,
I'm trying to find out which large 4x4s come with a third row of seats
that do NOT fold up to the side windows. I used to have a LWB Patrol
where the third row folded against the backs of the 2nd row. I later
had a Shogun but with the seats up against the windows I felt I lost a
lot of space. I'm currently driving an import Lucida MPV which, whilst
eminently practical is no fun whatsoever. I've got permission of
she-who-must-be-obeyed to look for another 4x4 with the seat
requirement as above.
BTW the bigger the better - often have to do 250 miles with 3 kids and
dog in cage in the back

Thanks,
Sheriff Fatman

If you don't need the seats, why not remove them?

Thanks all for the input. Certainly given me food for thought, can't
stretch to a disco3 or pathfinder yet so may look at imports or the
suzi. I can't remove the seats for the long journeys as I need them at
both ends.

Thanks again.

The rear seats on a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Limited (Shogun to you Brits)
fold down into a compartment that leaves a flat floor or can be easily
removed with two latches, leaving a roomy compartment for tools etc. I have
to assume that later, and possibly earlier, models have the same feature.
