I should add that proper preparation is absolutely necessary for a successful fix and also that silicone bathroom sealant isn't really going to "cut it".

You may well have to drop the roof liner to get a better look at where the water is coming from as sometimes it can appear well away from the original ingress point.
 
Excellent stuff. I find Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure applied first and the Sikaflex on the top works nicely as Tolley's is thin enough to get down inside the narrowest gap and seal it.

If used for bedding a fitting, the Sikaflex alone should do the job, because the pressure as the fitting is bolted down on it will force the Sikaflex into the small cracks and irregularities.

The sealant is good, I use it a lot in boat work.
