Hi guys, I'm a little stumped.
My last lift pump wouldn't prime with the hand pump nor out of the bleed pipe so I have fitted another Delphi today. However they both suck via the hand pump on the bench but neither will suck via the hand pump once on the block.
I had to basically bolt the pump in as no matter how much I turned the engine it wouldn't seat flush. So I'm guessing the pump arm is always depressed on the lobe somehow. No spring action on the hand lever.
She runs well enough, but I'm worried this is something more sinister to do with the timing belt. Rocker shaft looks good and push rods don't appear bent and nothing up there is fishy. Am I missing something simple? Would really appreciate some help.
I'm going to put the injector pipes on and start her up to try the bleed screw with the new pump. I just can't for the life of me think why all of a sudden I have two pumps that won't hand prime in any cam position.
It's a Disco 300. Thanks.
