Hi guys,I am hoping that you can help me out with a problem. My disco has been laid up for the last 6 months because I managed to bust my arm and could not sort the welding etc that it needed. Now ready for its MOT but a problem has cropped up! At approx 2000-2200rpm a serious misfire ?? occurs,its like a switch is being turned on and off very quickly ! We had this on occasion before the car was of the road but this now happens constantly after about a 10 min warm up period. Also when hot if I try to start it the starter spins as if the battery is flat,if left for 10 mins then it starts fine.
Its had a long overdue de-coke,new glow plugs and all engine bay earth points cleaned and sorted. I am now at my witz end after the last 2 days in the heat putting it back together to find the same issues still there.On the up side from cold it runs so much better than it did before. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated (and keep the wife quiet)
