1996 N Registration Land Rover Discovery 300TDI.
2495CC 5 Speed Manual Gearbox. First registered 10/06/1996 with 6 former keepers.

3 Door, 6 Seats (1 retro fitted dickie seat in the boot).
MOT expires 10/06/2013 and tax expires 31/03/13. Only done 400 miles since last MOT.
177896 miles but in daily use so may go up a bit.
Full stamped up service history to 72453 miles thereafter services have been done by the owner.
I bought this Land Rover of a 4x4 club member after it overheated. My original plan was to break it for spares for my own 300TDI but when I got it home I realised it was too good to break and set about repairing it.
When I got the car the engine was overheating and pressurising the coolant and the turbo was leaking oil badly.
I have removed the cylinder head and had this pressure tested and skimmed at a local engineering firm with receipt to prove. I then refitted this with a new Elring cylinder head gasket. I also replaced the valve stem seals, injector seals, manifold gasket, thermostat and gasket, temperature sensor and rocker cover gasket. The valve clearances were then checked and adjusted.
A brand new radiator was fitted and the whole cooling system was drained, flushed out and refilled with fresh antifreeze.
The timing belt and tensioner have also, just been replaced.
The boot door lock spring has also just been replaced due to the boot not opening without putting the key in the lock.
A replacement turbo was fitted and all turbo pipes, intercooler and inlet manifold cleaned out due to the previous oil leak.
It has also had an oil and filter change, new air filter and new fuel filter with the sedimentor bowl cleaned out too.
The discovery has been modified for off-roading. It has a snorkel and a 2” suspension lift along with a tubular front bumper with recovery points and high lift jacking points. The rear bumper has been removed and replaced with a custom made Tarantula steel bumper which is welded to the chassis with recovery points and a removable tow bar. It also has box section rock sliders with tree bars fitted which are welded to the chassis, not the sills. It comes with 235/85/16 Bronco Grizzly Claw tyres on steel modular wheels as pictured. The tyres have lots of tread remaining and hold pressure well. They are not great on the road and are noisy due to the nature of the tyre. These tyres have been used off road and show signs of that. The Land Rover drives nicely on the road when fitted with road or all terrain tyres and I would recommend whoever buys this invests in a second set of road wheels and tyres if it’s to be used on the road.
Other modifications include bonnet pins and the EGR valve has been removed and blanked off.
The paintwork and bodywork is in average condition for a vehicle which has been off roaded. There are small dents here and there and every panel is scratched.
The interior is in decent condition for a predominantly off road vehicle. Everything works as it should including the rear wiper.
It has a CD player fitted which is in working order
It has front and rear, manual sunroofs.
It has remote central locking, electric front windows and mirrors.
Structurally it looks very good for a discovery of this age and mileage. The chassis and sills look solid. As it is a 3 door it does not have the rear arch problems of the 5 door. The boot floor is in good condition and the front arches have been plated up.
This is a decent all round Discovery which is very capable off road but also comfortable on the road once fitted with some road tyres. It comes complete with the service book, lots of previous MOT’S and two keys with remote fobs which both work. It has a genuine Land Rover immobiliser fitted and also comes with 2 immobiliser fobs and the master fob.
All gears engage nicely with no crunching into 2nd.
High, low and diff lock all engage easily
Cash on collection from Brough, East Yorkshire.
Any questions please ring/text 07545 999273.
£1250 ono.
Will add pics later when I get chance.
