Selling my 300TDi disco 1. Car is running / driving but needs some TLC.
Currently has an MOT but it wont get through another one, although current MOT is until Jan next year.
Current issues that I know about are :
Sunroofs leak. I have covered them over in clear vinyl which helps massively but not 100%
Welding. Needs work on the Sills and the rear x-member
Central locking is faulty. I know whats wrong (it needs the mechanism greasing on the drivers door and the little spring changing in the rear door). Electrically it all works
Headlining is coming off (due to leaky sunroofs)
Needs a tyre
Needs a switch for one of the electric windows. I swapped in another switch and it all works, so its just the switch.
Diff lock lever is stuck from non use. H/L works fine, needs the mechanism freeing off (common issue)
Steering box needs adjustment
Ok so the good bits.
Boot floor has been changed
Inner wings have had rot all cut out and new metal welded in.
Engine and box all good - starts first time. Id have no problem going many many miles in this (and I do!)
JVC Bluetooth headunit fitted, with replacement speakers all round
I recon a few days work and you could solve all the issues if you wanted to. I just dont have the time to do it now, and have a van instead of needing the disco for my trials bikes.
As stated im selling this spares or repair. Please don't expect a vehicle that will pass another MOT, as it wont. I was underneath it yesterday and can see the bits that need work. The sills have been patched up but are now needing further attention.
Ill add some pictures if anyone want, however its a Red 300TDi disco
£500 sound about right? Im in Swansea, south wales.
