300 Tdi bellhousing - will fit 200Tdi?

Mates:

as I continue my education on this gearbox

will be a wait before Ashcroft will have a gearbox to offer me

had this thought - If a 300Tdi is very similar to 200Tdi - would a bellhousing from R380 300Tdi fit 200Tdi ?

I have a feeling they are quite different, but I am not certain.

Diffrunt gearboxes, LT77 & R380, wunt fit. 300 Tdi - R380 bell housing is a lot longer than 200 Tdi - LT77 bellhousing frum mammery.

is it bolt pattern on the R380 case that is different ?

as how much different can the block be on a 300 Tdi from a 200Tdi if they are basically the same engine ?

300Tdi sits 8" further forward than a 200Tdi, gearbox sits in the same place.
