quite a few....

1: What is the car worth? I've recently put it up for sale and had no viewers what so ever. Asking price is £2500 ono. Its an L reg plymouth blue Vogue, just passed 100k miles. Service history. General good condition apart from tail gate.

2: Hot start....

The car starts like a dream when its cold, but needs turned over once for a few times, then normally starts on the 2nd attempt when up to temp. Is this normal, or a regular gripe? I changed the plugs about 2k miles ago and it made it better for about 1 day!?!! Any suggestions.

3: When cold the car nearly stalls when moving off. This is quite a recent occurance. The car starts fine when cold, idles fine, but as soon as you press the accel the revs drop to about 300, then it picks up a bit. No probs what so ever when warm.

4: Ticking noise on acceleration.

again, fairy recent development. Ticking noise, louder with harder acceleration. Its not a bottom end knock etc. I was thinking maybe cracked exhaust manifold? Common prob?

5: Fitting electric leather seats to non electric seated car. Is this easy enough? Are the harnesses for the wires to fit electric seats in all late model RR classics?

Any help on any of the above subjects greatly appreciated :)

Not many people running Classics in here. Given that it is the same engine, you may have more luck in the Disco section.

Ticking noise could be cracked manifold, or the metal gaskets are knackered.
Had similar problem on my 3.9 disco, but no matter what I did, I couldn't stop the manifold leaking around the gaskets.

Other common ticking noise with this engine is the tappets, and very common if the oil hasn't been changed *every* 6k!

Matt.
