So, took a bit of the engine bits off this evening to find the source of a diesel leak. Luckily it was near the front of the engine so I didn't need to somehow squeeze the injector cover off to find it.
It's coming from that brown to darker brown plastic bit if someone can help identify that bit?

Also, what kind of fix do we think? Injector out job?

And while I was there, I saw a wire trapped under the injector shield.
It doesn't attach to anything but I'm guessing it should 😅

It seems to come from the large lower wiring bundle below the abs module and drivers side bank of the engine.

I'd be immensely grateful for any help with what that may be, I'm not brilliant with a wiring diagram tbh.

Thanks folks.

Time to start removing bits to trace the wires old route. Even with a diagram your going to have to go in there at some🤭 and look further up from where the damp spot is while your in there 👍

The wiring looks to be in the right place to be for the refrigerant pressure sensor, the fuel leak is 'most likely' the 'O' ring for the bleed-off line connection, these should be what you need https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/176330414485

Don't drop the metal spring clip!
Absolutely bang on with the AC pressure sensor there! It looks like some wiring from the ECU was rubbing against it and then its broken.
It's snapped right at the connector so will have to try and re pin it. Thanks for that!

I ordered those o rings and they should be coming today. Just need to get the injector shield out of the way now!

Thank you for your insight!

No worries - the injector shield isn't as bad as it looks, just be careful you don't overtighten the nuts as the brass inserts in the cam cover / intake manifold can shear off. IIRC once you have the HVAC plenum and the 'L' shaped trim off from around the brake booster it's relatively easy going...

I managed to get to the leakoff pipe no bother in the end just took my time and it all came easily.
The only issue was the o-rings didn't turn up today so that's it out of action until they turn up.
Haven't addressed the wiring issue.
