Hello, Ive got an old Series 2a 2.25 petrol (I THINK) and the Butterfly pin on the Carb has broken. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find anything. All the research ive done seems to say it should have a Solex or a Zenith carb. Someone must know about this  any help much appreciated!

It's not a diesel:eek:. Its definatly an SU, It says on it. I also noticed on comparing it to another Series II it doesn't appear to be bolted onto the standard position, its only bolted by two bolts. There are four bolts not in use on the manifold where the other series II carb i looked at was bolted on (which was a webber). Is it possible that someone has decided to fit this instead of the Zenith? and if so, should i just get rid of it and replace it with the original one? i did read it was claimed the SU would save your fuel , I will post a pic ASAP

todays question?

what is the connection between su carbs and lilly & skinner (footwear manufacturers)?

answers on a postcard please, to F.U.C.K. feckin useless company, kentucky.
this weeks prize? a rubber hammer!

Heres the photo. Ive now replaced it with a twin webber that i was given (which as said in another post, im having trouble fitting)
