Got bolts mixed up for putting 200 tdi sump back on.
I have tested the holes for depth but still not sure if I have got them right.
Any one have a plan
I know I should have carded them but didn't:rolleyes::)

you cant really go wrong if you push each in and check how much bolt sticks out 10 -15mm is std

See what you are saying thanks, if the threads are at the base of the hole then its a short bolt, doesn't look right though as at least one of the holes that a short bolt has threaded into and tightened goes right up through the block and the one next to it has the end of the long bolt just showing.
Must be right, me just panicing, cant lie under it for more than a few mins as the pain in my neck and shoulders makes me feel sick (arthritis) so lots of going under and getting out again:rolleyes:

if you imagine engine upside down and you just dropped bolts in to holes with out starting them they should all stick up the same amount as said usually 10-15 mm with m8 bolt

I'll have another go on Thursday (got a Corsa to sort out tomorrow) I've got enough bolts in to settle the sealant and make a seal so no problem
Thanks:)
