Apologies if this is a common topic.

Slave cylinder decided it wanted to be free today, and the rod came with it.

New cylinder on order, but now thinking about that dreaded clip that locks the rod onto the fork. And how I'm going to tackle it.

any ideas on how to get it locked in place? I've seen people use conduit/pipe but not sure what sort of pipe to get etc etc.

does it even need the clip? i plan on doing one show and maybe a camping trip or two away before the year is out, other than that its gonna be sat until next year, where it'll have an Ashcroft r380 going in it.

90. 200tdi.
Thanks :)

Better with the clip but can work without but there is a chance it may escape.
All you need is a short length of a stiff pipe, I have used a bit of blue alkathene water pipe.
Place clip on the rod and then slip on the pipe, needs to hold the clip tight at its end while leaving enough rod sticking out at other end to clamp all firm with a mole/vice grip. Line up clip, push into place and release grip.
