Looking for a bit of advise info etc. My 200tdi has a fully puma dash and clocks, fitted by the previous owner.

The fuel gauge doesn't work, and the tank needs replaced. Does anyone know if the 200 sender is compatible with the puma gauge?

I've also read on another thread, that the puma/td5 tank can be fitted with a bit of mods?

Do you recon I'd be better just fitting a puma tank and sender, removing/disconnecting the pump and extending the pick up, or fitting a new 200 tank and senders and seeing if I can marry up/convert the signal to gauge?

My 200tdi has a “Puma” sender and tank. I think the part number is WQB100440. It works the TD5 fuel gauge, but not sure about the Puma gauge. The WQB100440 doesn’t have a pump, so doesn’t need anything extending. There is someone who makes an interface module for the Puma dash. It allows any engine to power the gauges. From what I read at the time of release, it allowed all functions of the dash to work. Maybe worth a look?

So.....

Had a bit of a chance to get a better look at the back end, looks like I have the fixing points for the td5/tdci tank? The rear lights etc were a mess too, so I now have a puma/tdci chassis loom,

Do you reckon I could just swap in a plastic tank and buy the top securing strap.
The little Canbus controller is about 5-£600

So just to finish off this thread, I bought a puma 2.4 tank with the sender, 2.4 has no in tank pump and only 2 outlets (flow/return)
Had to cut off the two 200tdi mounts and the tank fits in no probs, as its a later galvi chassis, it has the mounts for the over the top securing straps. So all good

It will be, well not quite a 200tdi, it's a mazda 3.5slt, and when I sort this plug, I can connect the converter to make it all work. View attachment 226157 View attachment 226158

but the 200/300tdi will work the same as they are just electrical inputs too, and it will eventually be a 300tdi.

Thanks for the reply. I thought you may have got it all working without a “controller”. Hopefully you get it sorted soon.

You can run the speedo, fuel gauge and a lot of the lights without the controller,
Most of the lights just need earthed, handbrake, diff lock etc.

But the temp/tacho etc need the controller, and the run signal from the tacho is needed for a few systems like the front heated screen. Depends on what you want, and what you need for the engine you have etc?

Im quite happy with ROW/TD5 spec to be fair. I’m not a fan of the Puma dash, but thought that someone may have got it working without a 3rd party “box”.
