just fitted 200tdi engine into my series three 109 had no probs with the turbo fouling the chassis rail but i seem to have nowere for the exhaust down pipe to go, i have a pipe bolted to the turbo that goes down but fouls the chassis rail and the gap between the chassis rail and the starter motor is quite tight, i would think loads of you guys have come across this problem with this conversion and i cant get my head around it

that looks good did you use a mild steel flange? as the pipe i have got is made of cast iron i think, i reckon i could make one out of mild steel pipe the same diameter but will it be ok in mild steel, there is a lot of heat at that point of leaving the turbo
