200Tdi Defender/Disco Engine for TD Conversion

Hi All,


I'm now actively looking for an 200tdi engine to go into "George", my 90TD. I'll be trolling the local breaker too but no joy as of yet. If you have one or hear of a one that might fit the bill then please let me know.


I'm hoping to find a sub-150K miles unit with ALL ancillaries and either 11L, 13L or 12L in that order but either will be considered if in good condition.


I'm based in Dudley in the Midlands so if you know of any breakers I should be phoning on a regular basis then let me know. I'm already looking at Hi-Range and Equicar.


I' know as most good things in life, the best ones have already gone, but I'm hopeful and have time to find the right one as the TD is still ticking along....

Don't discount using a 300TDI as an alternative.

Lots about and generally cheaper than the 200's.

Not that hard to fit in a 90, if you use a remote oil filter. I've fitted one in my SWB series 2 and its great.

dont know if your still looking but im breaking my disco soon. engine is sweet and had injectors refurbed at christmas, clutch in oct and is servied every 3k or so (work in a garage so costs nothing to do).
