Apologies but I can't find anything definitive via the search. My 200tdi Defender has had an engine rebuild after cracking the block. A new clutch was fitted and I noticed the bite point was right at the top of the pedal. The clutch was slipping when warm so I adjusted the locknuts on the push rod master cylinder. The problem is it still slips when the engine is warm and I'm not sure which way I should be adjusting it. The bite point is now lower but I'm still getting clutch slipping when engines warm and under load.

I'm guessing that the clutch isn't fully engaging so which way do I need to adjust the lock nuts - away from the bulkhead or towards the bulkhead?

Many thanks

Iirc pedal height is set via the bolt on top front of the steering box, assuming your car has it, the nut you are adjusting is the master cylinder freeplay which only needs a small clearance.
So if you have the pedal bolt, adjust that first, then adjust the freeplay on the pushrod locknuts.

Might be talking out of my arse and thinking of the series set up!

Did you fit a new slave cylinder, if so it's important to match the push rod to the correct slave cylinder.
If not please feel free to ignore me, my wife does!🤣

No new slave cylinder fitted and I've adjusted the pedal height. It appears as if the clutch isn't fully engaging & I've read that people have managed to solve this issue by adjusting the master cylinder push rod.

Take the little cover off and, with a helper, there should be a little movement of the pedal before the pushrod moves, that's it basically.
